In this blog, I am going to share my experiences, both past and present, of my adventures on the waters surrounding Aquidneck Island. I plan on posting pictures of places that I have visited, or that seem like they would be fun to visit. I hope that people interested in taking a trip to RI will have a pretty good idea of all the ‘hot spots’ that they can visit after reading my posts. Most, if not all of the spots I plan on sharing with you, I have personally visited and enjoyed.

Westport Harbor

Hey everyone, my name's Andrew and I am currently a senior at URI. I am required to create this blog for an electronic writing course, and I am making the best of it by designing it around one of my passions – boating, specifically boating in Rhode Island, as it states in the title. I have lived in Rhode Island my entire life, and have spent a large amount of my time on, near or around the water.
For three years when I was in high school, I worked at an exclusive yacht club, the New York Yacht Club, in Newport, RI. Having this job enabled me to be around the water all of the time – while witnessing and working on many rare and extravagant boats. The members of this club had traveled many places on their boating adventures, and the tales of their journeys sounded exciting.
My father has a sailboat and a motorboat, and I love to be on them during the summer. We travel all around Aquidneck Island, and make trips to the islands a couple of times a season. Boating is truly one of my passions, and I am excited to share some thoughts / ideas with you.
